The accreditation process began with the submission of the institutional information for quality assessment (IIQA) report on Oct 6 of last year. After the assessment is complete, the varsity will receive a NAAC grade.
“It is our first cycle of accreditation. Out of our assessment years (2018-23), Covid was there for around two years. What we have accomplished now is the result of three and a half years of hard work. We hope for a good NAAC grade,” said Aparajita Chowdhury, vice-chancellor of the university.
The institution is the first women’s university in the state and was established in 1964.
