Chandigarh: Leader of opposition in Punjab assembly Partap Singh Bajwa on Tuesday accused the BJP-led central govt of using Bollywood actor and Mandi MP
Kangana Ranaut to advocate restoration of the contentious farm legislations. Bajwa claimed that the
BJP was using Kangana as a “proxy” to advance its “anti-farmer” agenda and demanded a clarification from the govt. “If the BJP govt at the Centre does not stand behind the statements made by its Mandi MP, it must take decisive action against her.
Kangana has persistently targeted the farming community, while the BJP remains a silent spectator. This is no coincidence – it’s a carefully scripted strategy. The BJP is launching a veiled assault on the farmers through her rhetoric,” said Bajwa. The Congress leader accused the BJP of “shooting its gun from her (Kangana) shoulder” to propagate an agenda that had already caused deep anguish among the farmers.
