Khattar: Real farmers don’t disrespect nation
Ambala: Haryana Janchetna Party’s Venod Sharma on Tuesday threw his support behind BJP’s local candidate Aseem Goel during a joint meeting of his workers here in the presence of Union ministers Manohar Lal Khattar and Dharmendra Pradhan, who said those sitting on the Punjab side of Shambhu were in farmers’ mask.
Applauding Sharma for supporting the BJP, the ministers said his influence in the region will benefit the party.
1x1 polls
Former Haryana chief minister Khattar said: “Vocal without real issues or solid vote base, the Congress is headed for defeat, which is why it has spent a month in futile hunt for alliance partners. The BJP will win in Haryana, and the people know it. The state has a history of aligning with the party that holds the Centre, since the voters understand its benefit.”
Addressing the issue of the closed Shambhu border, Khattar said: “We had a plan to reopen this passage, but some people, not farmers but in their mask, want to disrupt the system. There’s no need to go into detail — you know who they are.”
“We expect a solution soon, but the court will not allow the border to reopen without conditions, especially after the serious violence at the Red Fort. No real farmer would disrespect the nation by climbing the Red Fort,” Khattar added.
