The police arrested Deepak, while the arrest of main accused Ravi is still pending as he is absconding.
Dr Rahul said, “I am under continuous threat and pressure from the family of accused Ravi Kaushik, to reach a compromise in this case. The police have not arrested him till now.”
Baldev Nagar police station house officer (SHO) inspector Sunil Dutt said that they are making efforts to arrest the accused Ravi and his phone is switched off besides he is absconding.
“We got busy in another case related to four young girls who went missing. We are following up the case and the accused will be arrested soon”, said Baldev Nagar SHO.
In his police complaint, Dr Rahul said accused Ravi and his accomplice assaulted him when he was on duty after he refused to write medicine for a kid who was not accompanying the former.
“As per my duty, I prescribed medicine to the accused and his child who was accompanying him. Thereafter, the accused asked me to write medicine for another child not accompanying him. I humbly told the accused to bring the child along so that proper prescription can be written after due examination of the kid. This triggered the accused and he started verbally abusing me. Later, the accused along with his two accomplices slapped me and manhandled me on the main road of Baldev Nagar”, said Dr Rahul.
