Wife walks out, man ends life
Amritsar: A youth allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself from a ceiling fan here on Tuesday. Police reports suggest that Rajan, the victim, was under depression following a dispute with his wife, who left for her parents’ house about a month ago.

5 arrested with illegal weapons
Ludhiana: The CIA team of the Malerkotla police has arrested five persons for allegedly possessing arms and ammunition. The accused are Harpreet Singh (28), Baljeet Singh (24), Jashanpreet Singh (22), all hailing from the Kalyan area; Jaswinder Singh (18) of Mithewal village and Deepak Singh (25) of Raikot.
