Chennai youth blackmails Puducherry woman with her nude video

PUDUCHERRY: The cybercrime unit of the Puducherry police have launched a hunt for a Chennai youth for blackmailing a Puducherry woman by threatening to release her nude video if she didn’t marry him.
The police said the 19-year-old woman and the youth, identified as Dilip Kumar, shared their Instagram and WhatsApp IDs after they came in contact through social audio app Clubhouse.They had been chatting for some months till she severed ties with him recently.
The enraged youth started calling and messaging her friends and relatives and making derogatory comments about her. The woman called the youth and requested him not to contact her friends and relatives. The youth told her that he would not to do so if she came nude on a video call.
The woman came nude on a video call and chatted with him. The youth made a screen recording of the video call. Later, he started blackmailing her to marry him or he would release the video online and also send the video to her friends and relatives.
The woman lodged an online complaint with the cybercrime police who registered a case and launched a hunt for the youth.
