At a time when there is tension in the
DMK alliances due to remarks on power sharing by VCK's president Thol Thirumavalavan and VCK deputy general secretary Aadhav Arjuna, chief minister
M K Stalin said all the DMK allies including VCK would be participating in DMK's diamond jubilee celebrations organised in Kanchipuram on Sept 28.
In a statement on Tuesday, Stalin said Thirumavalavan along with leaders of other alliance parties would be participating in a public meeting at Kanchipuram, which was a "celebration with ideological kin."
Prior to the celebrations, Stalin said he would visit New Delhi to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sept 26 and 27 to seek funds for various projects in Tamil Nadu.
"We have to fight for every right with the Union govt which denies the rights of the states. Though we are in power, we are continuing our fight for our rights,'' he said.
Stalin said on Sept 28, he would be laying the foundation stone for Tata's Jaguar Landrover car manufacturing plant in Ranipet.
