Dhami: Anti-cheating law ensuring transparency in recruitment exams
Dehradun: Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Friday virtually attended an event where appointment letters were given to 1,094 junior engineers selected through the Uttarakhand Combined State Junior Engineer Service Examination, 2023. The event took place at the Culture Department auditorium in Nimbuwala, Dehradun.
Congratulating the newly appointed junior engineers, Dhami said, "Today marks the beginning of a new chapter in your lives.

With the blessings of your parents, teachers, and God, you now have the opportunity to serve in Devbhoomi Uttarakhand." He expressed confidence that the fresh recruits will significantly contribute to strengthening various state departments.
Dhami said that over the past three years, more than 17,000 jobs have been provided in govt departments across the state.
Dhami said that since the enactment of the state's anti-cheating law, all recruitment exams have been conducted with transparency, ensuring that deserving candidates succeed. "The anti-cheating law includes stringent penalties and today, qualified youth are passing every recruitment exam," he said.
Of the 1,094 junior engineers receiving appointments, 252 will join the public works department, 201 in the rural works department, and 137 in the irrigation department. Other allocations include 46 for the minor irrigation department, 41 for the panchayati raj department, 91 for the Jal Sansthan, 50 for the drinking water corporation, 134 for the housing department, 32 for the urban development department, 5 for the Power Transmission Corporation of Uttarakhand Limited, 49 for Uttarakhand Jal Vidyut Limited, 37 for the agriculture and farmers welfare department, 10 for the Uttarakhand Renewable Energy Development Agency (UREDA), and 9 for energy development.
