New Delhi:
BJP and
Congress on Tuesday said AAP govt should now get down to work for the welfare of the people, days after a newly elected dispensation under chief minister
Atishi was sworn in.
Delhi BJP president Virendra Sachdeva said the govt had taken the oath on Saturday but its work so far was "zero". Sachdeva said AAP was busy in a political event at Jantar Mantar on Sunday while the ministers took charge of their offices on Monday.
He added that on Tuesday, the new CM visited the Hanuman temple.
"The people of Delhi already know that Atishi is a failed minister who only gives statements and makes announcements. When she took over as CM, people thought she would now pay some attention to governance. But her journey as CM in the last four days shows that she is not interested in improving governance," Sachdeva said.
Delhi Congress president Devender Yadav alleged that instead of setting the agenda for the two-day assembly session on Sept 26 and 27, Atishi was indulging in "gimmicks".
"Dengue cases have soared to 1,229, with 300 cases reported in the past seven days. The govt should take urgent steps to prevent the spread," Yadav said.
