Concern at Malim jetty as worker dies
Panaji: A 39-year-old Odisha native, Sachindra Khadia, working on a trawler operating from Malim jetty, died from vomiting and diarrhoea on Tuesday. On Monday around 11.40pm Porvorim police received a wireless message from the Goa Medical College (GMC) and hospital at Bambolim, informing them that Khadia was brought to the casualty ward of the hospital from Malim jetty in Porvorim.

During their inquiry, police learnt that the deceased had been on the fishing trawler for over four days, and he had not been feeling well since Sunday morning as he suffered from severe vomiting and diarrhoea. Police sub-inspector (PSI) Akash Chodankar is investigating the case.
