Man stabs wife with scissors, now on the run

Gurgaon: A 50-year-old man attacked his wife with a pair of scissors at their house in Sector 111 in Bajghera on Monday. The woman is being treated at a private hospital in Bahadurgarh, while the accused is absconding. The couple, Manish Saroha and Minakshi (45) worked in the field of education and had recently returned from Canada.
A complaint was made by Minakshi's brother Rakesh Joon.Around 8.30am on Monday, Manish reached Minakshi's younger brother, Amit Joon house in his car with Minakshi lying in the back seat. Manish said that he had attacked her with scissors and sharp-edged weapons after an argument, and threatened to kill her if she ever came near him again. She was injured at multiple places, including the top of her left eye and left hand. She has bruises all over her body," Rakesh alleged.
Minakshi was taken to Jeevan Jyothy private hospital in Bahadurgarh. Meanwhile, Manish's parents came to Amit's house.
When everybody had taken Minakshi to the hospital, Manish left with his parents and is now on the run.
Bajghera police were informed about the incident by the Jeevan Jyothi hospital authorities, and a police team reached the hospital on Monday afternoon. "The accused had kicked her and punched her multiple times. We will know the exact reason for the assault once the victim gives her statement," said a senior official.
Bajghera inspector Ashok said Manish will soon be traced and arrested.
