Rain lashed parts of the Barak Valley in
Assam on Saturday, providing much-needed respite from the scorching heat, reports BB Goswami. Residents of the three districts in the Valley had been enduring a severe
heat wave for the past week. A sudden outburst of clouds on Saturday afternoon, accompanied by heavy showers, brought some relief, albeit with minor damages.
