Revanth Reddy and four others to appear before it on Oct 16 in connection with the cash-for-vote case. A case under PMLA was registered against Revanth and five others in May 2015.
One of the accused, Jerusalem Mathaiah, was present in the Nampally court on Tuesday, while the others - Revanth, Bishop Harry Sebastian, Rudra Sivakumar Uday Simha and Sandra Venkata Veeraiah - did not appear before the court.
"For examination, all the accused are directed to be present on the next date of hearing," said the court while posting the hearing to Oct 16.
Revanth, who was a TDP MLA in 2015, along with the other accused was accused of bribing then nominated MLA Elvis Stephenson from BRS to vote in favour of TDP nominee Vem Narender Reddy in the legislative council elections. A bribe amount of Rs 50 lakh was seized from them at Stephenson's residence in the city.
In May 2015, Telangana Anti-Corruption Bureau arrested the accused and seized the bribe amount from them.
Spl court also issues summons ED initiated a probe into the case in 2018 and filed a chargesheet in May 2021. ED claimed the accused committed an offence by dealing with the bribe money and attached the bribe amount under PMLA.
Meanwhile, a special court for cases against legislators has also summoned Revanth to appear before it on Wednesday in connection with a private case filed by BJP, which accused him of spreading falsehoods against the party in the run-up to the Lok Sabha elections in May.
