Bank manager, wife held taking Rs 10k bribe
Barwani: Lokayukta police on Monday caught a bank manager and his wife red-handed while accepting a bribe of Rs 10,000.
DSP Lokayukt Dinesh Patel said that on the complaint of Pinky Pawar, director of Maa Vaishnavi Self Help Group Anjad District Barwani, Bank of India manager and lead bank director Saujanya Joshi and his wife Jagriti Joshi were caught red-handed while taking a bribe of Rs 10,000.

Saujanya Joshi is the director of Star Swarojgar Training Institute Barwani, and his original post is manager of Bank of India.
Pinky Pawar runs a canteen for food for men and women undergoing training at Star Swarojgar Training Institute Barwani. In this, breakfast, lunch and dinner are provided to the trainees. Pinky had submitted bills worth Rs 1, 93,167 for the food provided from July 2024 to August 20, 2024 at Star Swarojgar Training Institute.
When Pinky met Saujanya Joshi, director of the training institute, for payment of the bills, he demanded a commission of Rs 48000 in lieu of paying the bills.
After verification of Pinky's complaint, the accused and the accused's wife were caught red-handed taking a bribe of Rs 10,000, he said.
