Roads affected by Metro work to be rebuilt
Indore: MP Metro Rail Corporation Limited (MPMRCL) has decided to remove unnecessary barricades on Indore Metro’s route and rebuild roads that have been damaged due to ongoing construction work.
MPMRCL managing director S Krishna Chaitanya on Wednesday conducted an on-site inspection of station control rooms, ticket office machine rooms, signalling equipment rooms, and telecom equipment rooms at Super Priority Corridor.

To facilitate smooth road traffic, Chaitanya instructed officials to reconstruct roads affected by Metro construction work and remove unnecessary barricades. “We have set a deadline of starting commercial run on around six km-long Super Priority Corridor by December this year while it’s expected to be extended till Robot Square by mid of 2025,” Chaitanya told TOI. tnn

Chamoli district officials have informed the Border Roads Organisation for repairs. Authorities had previously banned heavy construction in Joshimath due to subsidence risks affecting many structures and residents.
