Man held for abducting, raping minor

Jaipur: The city police on Monday arrested a 50-year-old man for abducting a five-year-old girl from outside her residence in the Malpura Gate area and sexually assaulting her. The accused lured the child with the promise of chocolate. According to girl's father, who filed an FIR on Monday, he and his wife were working at a factory while their daughter was left alone at home.The girl was playing outside the house when the man approached her on a bicycle and offered her chocolate, promising to get her more if she accompanied him.
“He took him to his rented room which is not very far from the house of the rape survivor. He sexually assaulted her there," said Add DCP Narayan Lal Sharma. Upon returning from work, the family members discovered the girl was missing. Neighbours told them they had seen her playing outside the house a few hours earlier. The parents then reviewed footage from CCTVs installed outside nearby shops and identified the accused. tnn
