Jodhpur: State coordinator of Rajasthan Panchayati Raj and Secondary Teachers' Union, Shambhu Singh Meratia was suspended on Friday for putting up posters against education minister Madan Dilawar here. The district education department issued the suspension order. Seema Sharma, joint director of school education, Jodhpur division, said that Meratia has now been suspended and his headquarter has been shifted to Shergarh.
Meratia was so far posted at the Government Primary School Baga, Soorsagar near Jodhpur.
His headquarter has now been shifted to the chief block education officer’s office in Shergarh in Jodhpur Rural.
The order stated that Meratia has been suspended with immediate effect for putting up posters and billboards in Jodhpur with inappropriate slogans against education minister, using terms like “Palturam” (turncoat) for the minister which tarnished the department’s image. Meratia shared the information of his suspension on social media, stating that he had been suspended. He had put up posters and hoardings against Dilawar in Jodhpur on Wednesday, calling him “Palturam” for backing off from his orders repeatedly and had demanded that chief minister Bhajan Lal Sharma change the minister’s department. “Because of this, every employee and officer in the education department is currently in a state of confusion,” he had said.
