Lucknow: At the UPITS 2024, the
Uttar Pradesh govt will highlight its 25 sectoral policies, 27 sectoral achievements, as well as 13 key govt schemes from both the central and state govts to educate investors about profit-making opportunities in UP, an official spokesperson said on Tuesday.
In addition to this, the govt would position the state's presence in domestic and global markets while offering insights into emerging opportunities across districts.
"With over 2,500 exhibitors and an anticipated attendance of more than one lakh B2B visitors and over three lakh B2C visitors, UPITS-2024 promises to be a major platform for business leaders from India and across the globe.
The Yogi govt's focus remains on enhancing Brand UP and expanding employment prospects by creating new investment avenues. The event is part of the state's broader vision to position Uttar Pradesh as a top destination for investors, as it works towards achieving a $1 trillion economy," the spokesperson said.
The state govt is also placing a strong emphasis on sectors such as One District One Product (ODOP), power, and renewable energy.
Alongside these, special attention will be given to promoting agriculture and allied industries, the aviation sector, defence manufacturing, e-commerce, electronics, education, film and entertainment, as well as fisheries, livestock, and dairy services.
Furthermore, UPITS-2024 will cover a wide array of industries such as highways, industrial parks, horticulture, food processing, infrastructure engineering, manufacturing, IT, and Smart City Mission. The leather industry, retail, sports, software technology, sugarcane development, tourism and hospitality, toy association clusters, and UP Police Association will also be represented.
"The main focus in the event will be on the promotion and propagation of 13 major schemes, including the state govt's credit guarantee scheme for micro and small enterprises. Through all these, visitors will be informed about the activities taking place in the state and the process of benefiting from them," the spokesperson said.
