Lucknow/Barabanki: Chief Minister
Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday said that the double speed of the double engine govt is transforming
Uttar Pradesh into a new model of
development and security.
Unveiling a statue of Pt Deendayal Upadhyaya in Barabanki on the eve of his birth anniversary, the CM expressed confidence that by building India and Uttar Pradesh envisioned by Deendayal Upadhyaya and following the path he laid out, the govt will succeed in delivering the benefits of its schemes to every section of society without any discrimination.
"Deendayal Upadhyaya's concept of ‘Antyodaya' focused solely on the uplift of the underprivileged. The NDA govt is committed to realizing Upadhyaya's vision with initiatives such as free ration for 80 crore people, construction of 12 crore toilets, and the provision of health insurance coverage for the economically backward under the Ayushman Bharat scheme," Yogi said.
Sharing his action plan to provide financial security to youths, Yogi said that 10 lakh people would get the benefits of the CM Yuva Udyam Yojana. "Under the scheme, the govt will cover the interest on loans of up to Rs 5 lakh for enterprising youths. Moreover, 10 lakh entrepreneurs will be able to create jobs for thousands of other youths," Yogi said.
During the programme at Vijay Park, Yogi said that Upadhyaya's vision still holds relevance in the country's social, economic, and political landscape.
He also inaugurated an exhibition at the govt inter college, showcasing the life and contributions of Upadhyaya.
Pointing towards Barabanki's growth potential, Yogi said: "The district is poised to grow in the coming years due to its proximity to Lucknow and Ayodhya Dham. Barabanki has been included as a part of the state capital region due to which it would attract big-ticket investments and emerge as a hub of job opportunities."
He said that the state govt was planning to create a grand corridor for the Lodheshwar Nath Temple Mahadeva, on the lines of Kashi Vishwanath Dham and Ayodhya Dham.
"To honour the legacy of KD Singh Babu, a prominent sporting figure from Barabanki, the state govt has acquired his ancestral ‘kothi' (bungalow) and plans to construct a grand memorial for him to pay tribute to the legendary hockey player," Yogi said.
The CM also announced the development of an industrial corridor near Ramsanehi Ghat, which is expected to create employment opportunities for thousands of youths.
He said that Padma awardee and progressive farmer Ramsharan Verma had set an example for others in the farming community.
"The state govt is committed to providing the benefits of various social welfare schemes to every section of society without discrimination. Whether it is the BJP or other political parties, focus on villages, underprivileged, farmers, and women will be part of the agenda for every govt that assumes power," he said.
"Govt schemes are reaching all sections without discrimination and the strongest advocate for this vision in independent India was none other than Pt Deendayal Upadhyaya," the CM added.
Ministers Jaiveer Singh, Suresh Rahi, and Satish Chandra Sharma were also present on the occasion.
