Ludhiana: An FIR has been registered against a man for allegedly abducting a 14-year-old girl by befriending her and promising her marriage.
Four days after he fooled the girl into accompanying him on a train journey on Aug 28, the accused abandoned the minor at Chhatarpur railway station in Madhya Pradesh on Sept 1, police said.
In her complaint to police, the girl said she was friends with the accused.
ASI Paramjeet Singh said the minor girl got a zero FIR lodged against the accused, Mujajid Roza alias Riaz, at Madhya Pradesh. The case was then transferred case to Ludhiana police, after which the FIR has been filed on Tuesday. He is yet to be arrested. tnn
