One killed, one hurt in firing in Malkapur

Amroha: One person was killed and another injured when the father of a woman, who married a man against his wishes, opened fire at the groom’s family in Dhanaura’s Malkapur village on Saturday night.
Amroha superintendent of police Kunwar Anupam said, “Arjun married the woman from Muzaffarnagar in court. However, her parents were against the marriage which created tension between both families,” he said.
This led to the woman’s father and four family members visiting the Arjun’s residence where the argument escalated, resulting in the woman’s father opening fire.
“The man’s father sustained injuries and died. Another person was injured but doctors said that he was out of danger,” he said.An FIR was filed and the accused arrested. ANI
