Bihar deputy CM Vijay Kumar Sinha takes stock of flood relief work

ARA: Deputy CM Vijay Kumar Sinha, who is also the minister in charge of Bhojpur district, on Tuesday took stock of flood-related relief work.
Presiding over a district programme execution committee meeting in Ara collectorate, he emphasized that rescue and providing relief materials to those stranded in flood is utmost priority of the state govt.
Giving stern instructions to the officials concerned for doing the relief work on a war footing, the deputy CM warned that any laxity will not be tolerated and tough action will be taken.

He also took feedback from the public representatives and members of the Bhojpur district execution committee about the problems being faced by the flood victims, a press release from the district magistrate's office said.
Ara MP Sudama Prasad told the deputy CM that beside badly affected Shahpur and Barhara blocks of the district, 16 panchayats of the Ara Mufassil block, two panchayats of Bihiya and three panchayats of Koilwar were affected by flood. The MP demanded that the Bhojpur district should be declared flood-affected.
Besides Ara MP Sudama Prasad, Barhara MLA Raghvendra Pratap Singh, Ara MLA Amrendra Pratap Singh, Jagdishpur MLA Ram Bishun Singh Lohia, MLCs Shri Bhagwan Singh Kushwaha and Radha Charan Shah, alias Sethji, Bhojpur DM Tanai Sultania, superintendent of police Mister Raj and senior district officials were present at the review meeting.
