PM greets SKMU on 8th convocation
Dumka: Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended his greetings to students and faculty of SKM University (SKMU) during the eighth convocation at the Agro-Park-based convention centre in Dumka on Tuesday.
Governor Santosh Kumar Gangwar attended the event as the chief guest.
In a written message to the university, the PM wrote, “A convocation signifies a transition from the academic world to the practical and professional aspects of life.

It offers students a chance to witness and embrace changes - both within themselves and in the world around them.”
The PM’s message further emphasised the responsibility of providing quality education to young learners, especially in tribal areas. He highlighted the crucial role institutions like SKMU play in the nation’s development.
Gangwar, who is also the chancellor of the universities of Jharkhand, presented gold medals and certificates to 63 toppers of various postgraduate, undergraduate, and vocational courses, as well as degrees to 76 PhD scholars.
