Ranchi: Two days after Jharkhand General Graduate Level Combined Competitive Examination (JGGLCCE) 2023 examination concluded, over a hundred youths gathered at Bapu Vatika in Ranchi on Tuesday and claimed that the questions papers were leaked. The exam, which was conducted by Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission (JSSC), concluded on Sunday with the administration claiming that the exercise was held in a peaceful, transparent and fair manner.
Holding a media meet under the banner of Jharkhand Chatra Morcha, an academician Kunal Pratap claimed that questions were with several students much before the examination started, adding that the exercise should be cancelled and a CBI inquiry be held into it. He said that a rally would be held on the issue in Hazaribag on Wednesday and a big protest would be organised in Ranchi later on.
Another aspirant Santosh Yadav claimed that a few students were in possession of the question papers and answers before the examination at his centre in Baliapur Dhanbad district on Sunday. He said that questions matched with those asked in the test. He, however, did not identify the persons who had the questions.
Another candidate who appeared at a centre on Ratu road in Ranchi showed photos of answers he had copied from one of the candidates on a newspaper cover page adding they were of questions asked in the examination. He said that the photos were taken before the examination, adding it could be checked from its properties.
Contacted, Jharkhand State Selection Commission secretary Sudhir Kumar Gupta said, “The entire examination was conducted without malpractices amid tight security measures. Anyone with strong evidence of question lead should have approached the JSSC, police or the court.”
