Trichy: Power will be shut down in several parts of Trichy city and suburbs on Tuesday due to the monthly maintenance work at Kambarasampettai and Main guard gate substations. Karur Bypass Road, VN Nagar, Chathiram bus stand, St Joseph’s College, Poosari Street, the Chinthamani bazaar, Odathurai, the Anna statue, Nandhikoil Street, Andar streets, Salai Road, Maris theatre, Fort Station Road, Singarathope, Vathukkara Street, Woraiyur, the housing unit, Keerakollai Street, Kura Street, Nawab Thottam, Thiruthanthoni Road, Takkar Road, PVS Koil, Linga Nagar, Minnappan Street, Akilandeswari Nagar, Mangal Nagar, the Santhosh garden, Cholarajapuram, Kandan Street, Maruthandakurichi, Kambarasampettai, Malliyampathu, Allur, Jeeyapuram, Mutharasanallur, Thiruchendurai, Ponmalai drinking water headworks, Sanjeevi Nagar, Devathanam, Sankara Pillai Road, Sarkarpalayam, Ariyamangalam, Panayakurichi, Vengur, and Thogur will face power cuts between 9.45am and 4pm.Similarly, Tangedco would relocate electricity poles near Gandhi market for road works. So, Thayyalkara Street, the Banana auction centre, the fish market, Manimandapam Road, Gopal Krishan Pillai Street, and Saurashtra Street will face power cuts on Tuesday. Water supply disruption: Due to the maintenance work, the corporation’s drinking water collector wells including the chief collector well, the Periyar Nagar well, and the Ayyalamman Ghats well will not supply water on Wednesday. tnn
