Varanasi: Three unidentified miscreants opened fire at station master of Jivnathpur railway station near the Hamidpur area under Mughalsarai police station in Chandauli, late Wednesday night. Chandauli’s circle officer (PDDU Nagar) Ashutosh on Thursday said on complaint of Jivnathpur railway station’s station master, Virendra Verma (58), FIR was lodged against three persons.
Verma alleged he had been issued threats of dire consequences by some illegal vendors and suspected their involvement in this attack.tnn
