On August 12, 2024, the Ministry of Education launched the ninth edition of the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) 2024, with Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan leading the ceremony. Since its inception on September 29, 2015, the NIRF has offered a robust method for evaluating and ranking educational institutions in India. The framework assesses these institutions across five key criteria: Teaching, Learning, and Resources (TLR); Research and Professional Practices (RPC); Graduation Outcomes (GO); Outreach and Inclusivity (OI); and Perception (PER).
In the NIRF 2024 rankings, Jamia Hamdard has secured the top position in the pharmacy category, with the National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research Hyderabad in second place, and the Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani in third.
