Pawan Kalyan reacts to Karthi's apology note regarding Tirupati laddu controversy: 'I understand the situation was unintentional'

Pawan Kalyan reacted to Kollywood actor Karthi’s apology note regarding the recent Tirupati laddu controversy. On September 24, Karthi responded with a laugh when asked about claims that animal fat was used in the laddus at Tirupati’s Sri Venkateswara Temple.
Soon after, actor and Andhra Pradesh’s Deputy Chief Minister, Pawan Kalyan, reacted to Karthi’s apology. “Dear @Karthi_Offl garu, I sincerely appreciate your kind gesture and swift response, as well as the respect you’ve shown towards our shared traditions.Matters concerning our sacred institutions, like Tirupati and its revered prasadam laddus, carry deep emotional weight for millions of devotees, and it’s essential for all of us to handle such topics with care.”

He also shared his admiration for the ‘Kaithi’ actor, stating, “That said, I wanted to bring this to your notice with no ill intentions, and I understand the situation was unintentional. Our responsibility as public figures is to foster unity and respect, especially regarding what we cherish most—our culture and spiritual values. Let’s always strive to uplift these values while continuing to inspire through cinema. A political controversy erupted in Andhra Pradesh on September 18 when former Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu alleged that animal fat, including beef fat, fish oil, and lard, had been used in the preparation of the famous Tirupati laddus during the tenure of current Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. Naidu’s claim sparked a strong backlash from Reddy’s party, which accused Naidu of making false allegations for political gain. Nara Lokesh, Naidu’s son and IT Minister, further supported the claim, citing lab reports as evidence. The issue has led to heated exchanges between the two parties.
