A hotel in Noida took themed hotels to the next level. We all have heard of pod or capsule hotels, which are quite popular in Japan. These hotels are bed-sized, and the concept is slowly becoming much loved for short stays and even smaller layovers. Not only are they budget-friendly, but they also ensure privacy. As they are getting really popular among people, a lot more have sprung up across the world.
One such hotel has opened in Noida, and it recently went viral on X after a woman shared her stay experience.
The X user, with the handle @Somya_Crazy, shared photos and videos and captioned them, “Stayed in a pod-style hotel in Noida!” In the thread, she shared that the hotel had two types of stays—capsules/pods for guests and private pod suites. Her capsule, going by the photos, was pristine clean. It had a single bed, a mirror, a panel for charging points and options for customization of lights and fan speed, manual as well as centralized locks, and an entertainment screen.
In another post, she shared that the hotel had a dedicated women's washroom and a common one too, both of which were clean. Along with the capsule rooms, the guests could also lounge in the common room and sit, interact, and chill with other guests. The lounge room contained facilities like bean bags, sofas, and table and chair sets. Listing the cons, the X user shared that the capsules were not soundproof, and the tiniest movement was detectable.
She wrote, “It was not soundproof (people were quiet, though). [It] is sort of like dorms—when someone moves, you can feel the disturbance. They had private room options as well, which cost almost the same. I think it would have no disturbance & would be soundproof. They charge on an hourly basis. I paid 1K for 8 hours on a Saturday (4 am to 12 pm). It’s cheaper on weekdays.”
The hotel is called ‘NapTapGo’ and is situated in Noida. It charges approximately ₹1,000 for 12 hours. Private Pods and the Private Pod Room Suite both offer almost the same amenities, but Private Pods can accommodate only one individual, while the Private Pod Room Suite can accommodate one adult and one child.
