Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) began their IPL 2024 campaign against Chennai Super Kings on March 22. The franchise changed its name from Royal Challengers Bangalore to Royal Challengers Bengaluru, marking a new era for the 17th season of the Indian Premier League.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) kicked off their IPL 2024 campaign with a high-octane clash against defending champions Chennai Super Kings at the iconic MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on March 22.
Ahead of the season, the star-studded RCB franchise underwent a name change from Royal Challengers Bangalore to Royal Challengers Bengaluru, adding a new dimension to their identity in the 17th season of the Indian Premier League.
In the initial IPL schedule, which encompasses the first 21 matches, RCB are slated to play a total of five matches. The IPL organizers released only a partial schedule due to the upcoming Lok Sabha elections in the country.
Apart from the exhilarating opener against CSK, RCB are set to lock horns with Punjab Kings, Kolkata Knight Riders, Lucknow Super Giants, and Rajasthan Royals until April 7. With three home matches scheduled during this period, RCB will be keen to seize early momentum in the tournament and establish their dominance on the field.
