Lenovo Auto Twist AI PC: How it works
Lenovo showcased the Auto Twist AI PC which has a motorised hinge that can respond to user commands to transform itself into different modes, like a tablet or laptop. This AI-powered 2-in-1 laptop also has a follow-me feature that can track the user’s movements and rotate its display to face as they walk around it. This feature can come in handy during video calls.
In a statement to The Verge, Lenovo communication director
Jeff Witt explained: “We’re still experimenting with that. A lot of these concepts don’t come to market, but you may see elements of them down the line. It’s got face tracking; it’s basically a video conferencing system built into a laptop. There’s a lot of accessibility potential.”
What users said about the laptop
“Depends on how well it follows through! If it’s reliable, fast, and adapts to my needs, then I’m all in!” one of the users commented.
“I would like my laptop and mobile chargers to be obedient like this.” a second user said in support.
A third user joked:
“They should also have wheels attached to it, then it can follow you easily. It follows you everywhere, be it office, home or bathroom :-).”Meanwhile, a fourth user warned:
“What about battery? It will drain within 30 minutes.”
