Arijit Singh wins Best Male Playback Singer at 70th National Film Awards

Arijit Singh has won the Best Male Playback Singer award at the 70th National Film Awards for the song "Kesariya" from the film Brahmastra. The romantic track, loved by fans for its heartfelt lyrics and Singh's soulful voice, became an instant favorite upon release. Additionally, Pritam received the National Award for Best Music for his work on Brahmastra. The awards were announced in the national capital, with the jury chaired by Rahul Rawail, Nila Madhab Panda, and Gangadhar Mudalair. Brahmastra Part One: Shiva, directed by Ayan Mukerji, is the first installment of a planned trilogy in the Astraverse. The film features an ensemble cast including Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Amitabh Bachchan, Mouni Roy, and Nagarjuna Akkineni. The story follows Shiva, a DJ who discovers his mystical connection to the element of fire and his ability to awaken the Brahmastra, a powerful weapon capable of immense destruction.
