NLFT, ATTF rebels likely to lay down arms today
Agartala: Close to three weeks following the signing of a peace agreement with govt, National Liberation Front of Tripura (NLFT) and the All Tripura Tiger Force (ATTF) militants are expected to surrender their weapons and reintegrate into society through a formal ceremony on Tuesday.
Reports indicate that the surrender ceremony will take place at the headquarters of the 7th Battalion TSR in Jampuijala, Sepahijala district.

Initially, the estimated number of cadres was 328, but this figure has increased as many militants hiding in neighbouring countries have expressed their desire to join the mainstream.
Sources from the home department have stated that the police have made the necessary arrangements for the surrender ceremony, which will be attended by chief minister Manik Saha. A verification team has been formed to oversee the process. However, the exact quantity of arms and ammunition to be surrendered during the ceremony remains unclear.
