Cave-in near Vasna metro stations repaired for 27L

Ahmedabad: A cave-in in Vasna area was repaired at a cost of Rs 26.87 lakh, said AMC officials.
A breakdown occurred in the 1600mm diameter drainage line passing near the APMC metro station in Vasna ward. The repair work was completed at 18% less than the estimated cost determined by the AMC, said officials.
Tenders had also been issued to repair several manholes of drainage lines in Ambawadi area of Navrangpura.The breakdown repairs were carried out at 27% less than the estimated cost, amounting to Rs 36.36 lakh, said officials. Proposals to report these works after the breakdown repairs will be presented at the water and sewerage committee meeting on Sep 25.
