‘Avoid clicking on any unverified links or attend unsolicited calls’
Prayagraj: Cyber hygiene is crucial in today's digital landscape. By adopting simple yet effective habits, individuals can significantly reduce the risk of cyber-attacks and ensure their online safety.
This was stated by cyber security expert Rakshit Tandon while sharing his views during a session on ‘cyber hygiene: staying safe in the digital world' organised at United Group of Institutions (UGI), Naini, on Monday.

The talk was organised in joint association with the National Human Resource Development Network (NHRDN), Prayagraj Chapter.
Tandon cautioned students not to click on any links or attend unsolicited calls without identifying their authenticity, as they can lead to trouble. He advised calling the cyber helpline number 1930 in case of any fraud.
The expert also told students about best practices for password management and encryption, safe browsing habits, avoiding phishing attacks, social media security, online etiquette, and measures being taken by the govt to curb cybercrime.
He also informed the students about digital arrest, digital diet, social media influencers, cyber hygiene, malware files, job scams, fake apps, multi-factor authentication (MFA), cyber laws, and Digi Lockers, among others, in detail. The expert was also felicitated with a memento.
