Cash, brass bells worth Rs 49,000 stolen from temple
In Nashik, two unidentified individuals stole cash and brass items totaling Rs49,000 from Anna Ganapati Devasthan temple around 2.40am. They gained entry by jumping over the security wall and broke open the donation box to take Rs45,000 in cash along with brass bells worth Rs4,000. Police are examining CCTV footage for leads.

Liquor worth Rs 71 lakh seized, 225 FIRs registered in dist during MCC
Gurgaon police have seized 18,781 litres of illegal liquor worth Rs 71 lakh and registered 225 FIRs in the last month. This crackdown is part of heightened monitoring for upcoming assembly elections on Oct 5. Police have set up checkpoints at various locations to prevent the transportation of illegal liquor and maintain law and order.
