Chandigarh: Haryana anti-corruption bureau (ACB) on Monday arrested Mukesh Khandelwal, an enforcement officer with Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO), and Nilanjan Gupta, an assistant commissioner in PF department, for allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 2 lakh.
An ACB spokesperson said they received a complaint which stated that Khandelwal and Gupta, stationed at the EPF office in Sonipat district, demanded a bribe of Rs 2,00,000 to resolve a PF-related complaint.
The team caught Khandelwal red-handed while accepting the bribe. tnn
