Chandigarh: The chairman of AICC’s media and communication wing, Pawan Khera, on Monday asserted that the electorate’s anguish against
BJP will ensure the
Congress will form the govt in Haryana with a thumping majority.
Interacting with media here, Khera announced that framing of an employment policy will be on the top of the priority list of Congress-led govt to end the frustration of joblessness among youth.
“We have seen that people have an anguish against the 10 years of BJP. I hope EVMs are strong enough to handle the pressure. I will urge people to quietly vote for Congress to express their anguish,” said Khera.
Referring to reasons for planning the policy, Khera cited allegations of lack of transparency in agencies and BJP govt, incidents of paper leaks and other exam scams of the state. “This employment policy will weed out all wrongs that people saw in the 10 years of BJP govt. The policy shall ensure a transparent, honest approach, with merit being the sole criteria,” he said.
Khera, who was accompanied by AICC secretary Alok Sharma and other office-bearers, categorically took on CM Nayab Saini-led BJP govt over public debt. “When nothing much has been done for public, how come a debt of Rs 70,000 crore in 2014 has reached Rs 3.75 lakh crore in 2024. This is a major question which shows the intentions of BJP govt,” he said.
“BJP’s promises are either copied from guarantees given by Congress or they have rehashed their last two unfulfilled manifestoes of 2014 and 2019,” said Khera.
