Mann asks new ministers to serve with ‘missionary zeal’
Chandigarh: A day after inducting five ministers in his cabinet, CM Bhagwant Mann met them at his residence on Tuesday and asked them to ensure that benefits of pro-people schemes percolated to people at the grassroots.
Hardeep Singh Mundian (MLA Sahnewal), Barinder Kumar Goel (MLA Lehra), Tarunpreet Singh Sond (MLA Khanna), Dr Ravjot Singh (MLA Sham Chaurasi) and Mohinder Bhagat (Jalandhar West) were inducted in the cabinet on Tuesday.

Mann said with the reshuffle, young blood had been infused into the cabinet. He asked the ministers to serve people with “missionary zeal” to ensure issues of immense public importance were resolved at the earliest.
“The state govt has already embarked on several pro-people and development oriented schemes for welfare of the public. I hope the new ministers further ensure the meticulous implementation of these schemes,” said the CM.
“People of the state have bestowed a huge responsibility by giving a mandate to them. It is the duty of every minister to work hard for well-being of the people and progress of the state. It is the need of hour to restore the pristine glory of the state and make Punjab a frontrunner in the country,” he added.
