Hyderabad: A labourer from
Bihar was arrested by Rachakonda police for selling ganja chocolates in Adibatla and seized 3.8 kg of ganja chocolates and a mobile phone from him.
Police said the accused, Santosh Kumar, who hails from Samastipur district in Bihar, noticed that many of his co-workers in Hyderabad were addicted to ganja. Realising that there was a good demand for ganja, he hatched a plan to sell ganja chocolates.
"In August, he went to his hometown and bought 19 packets of ganja chocolates from Birendar Singh and returned to Hyderabad. He started selling them for 30 each," said Rachakonda Superintendent of Police Sudheer Babu. Based on his confession, police are making efforts to trace Birendar.
