Boy drowns in floodwater in Nawabganj

Kanpur: A 10-year-old boy drowned after he fell into a deep pit filled with floodwaters in Nawabganj police station area on Sunday.
On being informed, local police accompanied by the SDM Sadar and other senior officials reached the spot to assess the situation.
Aditya, a 10-year-old boy of Katri area within the jurisdiction of the Nawabganj police station had accompanied his father to the fields when he lost balance and slipped into a deep pit filled with flood waters.Some bystanders quickly pulled him out. His family immediately took him to Halat hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival. The body has been sent for a post-mortem examination.
