Mata Prasad Pandey visits Solanki’s family

Kanpur: Leader of the Opposition in the Legislative Assembly Mata Prasad Pandey, during his visit to jailed MLA Irfan Solanki's house on Monday, said that Solanki is being subjected to mistreatment in jail.
He alleged that under the BJP govt, harassment of Muslims and Yadavs has increased.
"Shots are exchanged from both sides in an encounter. Now, individuals are first apprehended and then shot by the police.The majority of encounters occurring under the BJP govt are unlawful," he claimed.
Pandey interacted with Solanki's wife, Naseem Solanki, family members, MLAs Amitabh Bajpai and Hasan Rumi, and party officials.
On Sisamau constituency, he said that the decision on the candidate would be taken by SP national president Akhilesh Yadav. "SP's electoral strategy is ready. We are waiting for elections," he said.
