Man arrested for violating Kaapa provisions

Kochi: A 27-year-old man from Mulavukad was arrested on Monday for violating the provisions of Kerala Anti-Social Activities Prevention Act (Kaapa).
Sreejith was externed from Kochi city police limits under Kaapa in April, for allegedly getting involved in criminal cases repeatedly. The order, issued by city commissioner based on a report by Mulavukad police, stated that he should not enter areas under the jurisdiction of Kochi city police commissioner for a year.
However, he returned to the city limits, leading to his arrest by a team comprising Mulavukad inspector Shyamkumar, SI Thomas Pallan, Suresh, CPOs Arun Joshy, Vibin, Libin, Pramod and Kiran.
Sreejith has been accused in several cases at Ernakulam and Njarakkal police stations.
