Kannur: KPCC president K Sudhakaran on Sunday said the
CPI, the second largest ally in the ruling LDF, should think whether it should continue in the Left front as a ‘slave'.
"The condition of CPI is not so good in LDF. Why don't they take an independent stand? Their (CPI) words and actions are different. The party has no courage to do what they say. There is lack of sincerity in their activities.
It means they have vested interest in many matters," the KPCC chief told reporters in Kannur.
However, Congress will discuss accommodating CPI in UDF, if the party is ready to correct their mistakes, he said. "CPI should be ready to correct their mistake. The matter has not been discussed within UDF so far," he added.
Sudhakaran said that Nilambur MLA P V Anvar would not be welcomed to Congress right now. "He should first correct what he had alleged against Rahul Gandhi," he said.
He also demanded a judicial probe into the Thrissur Pooram debacle. "A probe by an ADGP who faces allegation on the same issue could not bring the fact to light," he said.TNN
