Lightning strike kills man
Madurai: P Subburam, 62, a resident of Kadambankulam village in Virudhunagar district, was killed after he was struck by lightning on Tuesday evening. Subburam was working on a farm when it started raining on Tuesday. Before he could take cover, he was struck by lightning. Soolakkarai police said he died on spot.
His body was shifted to Virudhunagar Govt Medical College Hospital for postmortem.
