Dasara cow milking contest prize money is Rs 1L

Mysuru: This year, the winner of the Cow Milking competition organised as part of the Raitha Dasara will get Rs 1 lakh as prize money, while the runner-up will get Rs 80,000.
Speaking to reporters after releasing the poster of the cow milking show and dog show, which will be held on Oct 6 and 7 respectively at the JK Grounds in the city, animal husbandry and sericulture minister K Venkatesh said the third prize winner will be given a Rs 60,000.
"The fourth prize is Rs 40,000. Farmers and dairy farmers from across the state are requested to participate with their best breed heifers," he said.
"Cow milking competition will be held for two days on Oct 6 and 7," he said.
"On Oct 6, a pet dog competition will also be held. Farmers are requested to participate along with their family members," he said.
