Nashik: A 20-year-old criminal on police record was allegedly murdered by six people late on Sunday night in Pathardi village.
The police arrested the six accused in the case.
According to the Indiranagar police, the victim, identified as Nandesh Salve, had come to the Pathardi Phata area, where he had an argument with one of the accused. Following the argument, the men started beating up each other.
"Salve is a resident of Vilholi and had come to Pathardi around 10.30pm where he picked up arguments with the accused," a police officer from Indiranagar police said.
"The accused attacked Salve with sharp-edged weapons, which left him grievously injured," he said.
The locals alerted the police, who took the victim to the civil hospital, where he was declared dead.
