Nashik: State
NCP (SCP) president Jayant Patil on Tuesday said the fact that Union home minister
Amit Shah is actively involved in BJP's poll preparations shows that the central
BJP brass does not trust the party's state unit.
In Nashik on Tuesday, Patil said it is a clear message to deputy chief minister
Devendra Fadnavis and state BJP chief Chandrashekhar Bawankule, that the central BJP does not have faith in the state unit as far as the party's poll preparations are concerned.
Patil also refuted claims of VBA founder Prakash Ambedkar who had said that Maratha quota activist Manoj Jarange is acting on the directives of NCP(SCP) chief Sharad Pawar. "Jarange is staging his agitation independently. State govt has failed to take any decisive action on his demands. Therefore, people are disappointed. It is wrong to spread misunderstanding among people that Sharad Pawar is behind Jarange," he said.
Patil further said that he is receiving an overwhelming response from the people during the Shiv Swaraj Yatra. During his visit to Dindori, Gokul Zirwal, the son of NCP MLA and deputy speaker of the legislative assembly, had put up hoardings welcoming Jayant Patil. "This means he (Gokul) loves me. I have not discussed his entry into the party with him. But he has applied for the party's candidature from the Dindori segment. The party has not decided any candidate for the constituency."
