FIRs filed against two under POCSO Act

Nashik: The city police have lodged FIRs against two people under the provisions of the POCSO Act in two different cases.
Nashik Road police inspector Ashok Giri said that the minor's mother alleged that her husband, who is the stepfather of the victim, had sexually abused her child at home on Sunday. She registered the complaint with the police.
Giri said, "He allegedly abused the child at knifepoint and threatened to kill her and her mother and sister if she raised any alarm.He has been arrested."
In another case, a minor was sexually abused after her parents called off her marriage with the accused.
On Saturday evening, the accused came to her home asking why was the marriage cancelled. Finding her alone, he sexually abused her. On learning, her parents registered a complaint with the Ambad police, who then arrested the accused.
