Shimla: Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla will administer the oath to Justice Rajiv Shakdher as chief justice of Himachal Pradesh high court on Wednesday. Justice Shakdher will serve in his new role until his retirement on Oct 18.
A farewell reference was held in the Himachal high court on Monday to bid adieu to its outgoing chief justice MS Ramachandra Rao, who would now take over as chief justice of the Jharkhand high court.
The Supreme Court collegium had recommended the name of Justice Shakdher of the Delhi high court to the central govt on July 11 for the appointment of chief justice of the Himachal Pradesh high court. TNN
